SVPTRIBE / BUILD TRIBE
Before you assess your contribution
Build Tribe is about building a business together. We record what each person commits to, then return to the same areas after about a month to compare promises with work done.
01 · Starting plan
Agree on a specific task, deadline, expected standard and who approves it. Record what you are willing and able to bring.
02 · Review actual work
Use the saved planning link after about a month. Enter what you actually delivered and compare it with your original plan.
Make each answer concrete
“Let’s start a car wash” is a suggestion. A contribution to planning means researching assigned questions and bringing back checked findings, costs and a recommendation. “I can help with marketing” is vague; “I will prepare two product videos and captions every Thursday for approval” is a task we can review.
For each area, enter your estimated share of that area’s work compared with the other person and explain what you will do, or what you did. If one person takes the whole task, their share can be 100%. If an area truly does not apply, mark it not applicable; it will be left out of the calculation. The same payment, tool or task should not receive full credit in several areas.
What the 15 areas mean
Take an assigned research question, check facts and costs, and bring back a report and recommendation. A suggestion or copied AI answer alone is not completed research.
A brand, audience, design, system or material you built before this project and agree the business may use.
Money paid for stock, tools, software, rent or other business costs. Record what will be reimbursed and what could be lost.
Available, focused time on tasks agreed in advance. Taking five hours for a reasonable 30-minute task does not make it worth ten times more.
What you can personally start and demonstrate when the business begins, using available tools. Something you still need to learn is a learning plan.
Own the supplier process: detailed questions, translation, documents, quotes, sample rounds, testing, changes and a recommendation.
Check orders, print labels, pack, dispatch and solve order problems. Agree on normal days, cutoff times and a backup; no one is automatically on call.
Plan, create, edit, approve and publish content. Agree on the channel, number of posts, deadlines and who must approve each type.
Answer enquiries, explain the offer, follow up, complete orders and record outcomes.
Make relevant introductions to customers, suppliers or partners. Knowing people without opening a door is not an actual contribution.
Provide usable space, printer, vehicle, software or paid tool access. Specify when and how it can be used; ownership does not create an on-call duty.
Appear in content or represent the business with your face, name, voice or personal credibility.
Make agreed trips to suppliers, events, customers or parcel drop-off points. Specify coverage, notice and backup. Owning a car creates no default delivery duty.
Take defined responsibility for losses, refunds, unsold or damaged stock, unexpected bills, serious problems and difficult decisions, within agreed limits.
Keep monthly sales, payouts, expenses, receipts and stock records; check statements; prepare year-end figures and handle filing work. Registration under one name does not make all preparation that person’s task.
Agree on boundaries
Owning a printer does not mean you must rush back to print at any hour. Having a car does not make you the default delivery person. A paid tool, a network or a business registration also does not silently assign all related work to its owner. Decide the days, response times, backup person, approval process and limits before work begins.
Keep reports, supplier replies, sample comparisons, receipts, content, delivery logs and introductions so the later review can be grounded in evidence. Tell the group early if an agreed task changes or cannot be completed.
How the result is used
The result is a weighted discussion guide based on your answers. The other side is shown as the remainder of each applicable area. Review the evidence together. This number does not automatically decide ownership, profit sharing, pay or formal responsibility.
